"I was exposed to music at an early age and was born into a family where several folks were musicians. But most were into gospel. By 10 years old, I realized my passion was rock music. My mom said I could pursue whatever genre I wanted as long as I took vocal lessons and learned to sing correctly. I began playing on the local and regional scene and did that until I joined ACOA in 2003. Some of the things I’m most proud of is our AFE tour for the troops and it was quite an honor to get to fly half way around the world and share our passion with our troops serving in the South Pacific. Our Rocklahoma trips and then Sturgis’ Buffalo Chip Stage are the coolest things and ones we’ll definitely remember forever.
The industry has made continuing trying to “make it” quite challenging, but luckily, I love playing with these guys and we as musicians can’t let the “business” defeat us. As long as we are loving what we do, we do stuff to stay relevant and keep enjoying what we do…it’s easy to get discouraged, but it just means we have to figure out the new way to stay in the forefront of listeners and find new ways to get our stuff out to people.
In my personal life, ,my hobbies are family, music and sports…that’s about all I have time for these days!"
