After a late night hanging out with Rhino Bucket we caught a few z's before hitting the road back to NC that morning. But, before we left, we lucked out when at the last minute and a friend gave us 2 free lawn passes for the M3 Festival! We already had plans to be at another show back in Raleigh that night, but we opted for one more night in Maryland instead! Who could resist free tickets to the best east coast festival around? Merriweather Post Pavilion is known as one of the world's most beautiful and acoustically superb amphitheaters. A favorite for bands and music lovers. The lineup for Friday evening was Dio Disciples, Trixter, Quiet Riot, Dokken and of course, closing out the night were Maryland favorites, and ours, Kix! The picture to the left, shows our enthusiasm during the Kix set after we managed to wiggle and worm our way from the lawn to 6th row seats! That's what a real music addict does, right? But, I think the highlight of that day and night was getting to see and hang out with so many of our friends from up north! Everyone, and I mean everyone, was there! And, since we weren't hanging around for day 2, we gave our tickets to another friend who didn't have any. Rock n roll Karma.
