Junkies: How long have you been playing? How did you start?
Not really sure you know, I guess all of my life. Before I ever picked up an instrument I was listening and crafting melodies of my own, then when deciding to pick up an instrument it was only a matter of getting my fingers to do what I heard on my head. See, I never learned a cover tune prior to writing many songs of my own.
Junkies: What brand do you play? Model? Any endorsements?
I play 70's Gibson Les Paul basses, 1964 Gibson EB2, Thunderbirds, Gibson EB bass, and do officially endorse Gibson. I do however have a 1964 Fender Pbass as well as a Jazz Bass, and a BC Rich and many more.
As for endorsements, I officially endorse Orange Amplification, Gibson guitars and basses, Dean Markley strings, Seymour Duncan pickups, Monster Cable and Peterson tuners.
Junkies: Do you play any other instruments?
Well, I sing lead vocals in POA. I was originally of course a bass player. At this point I play guitar, piano / keyboards, drums ( better in my head than they turn out HAHA). Basically, anything really. Give me a few days and I will figure it out!
Junkies: How long have you been in the band?
I have been in the band before it was ever a band. Well, the band has been around since 2012 or something like that. I am not so good at keeping track of that sort of thing. I moved back home from Hollywood , CA where I had lived for 18 years to do something, not musically but to change my life and that change was to sober up, stop drinking and doing drugs. After successfully completing what I needed to do, and to feel that enough time had passed and I was ready, the next logical step was to form a band. I had written well over 130 songs about my troubles, depression, and bouts with drug abuse. These songs provided an escape for me, and now it was time to share them. Prophets Of Addition was born, the band became the new addiction and through this vessel I will explain myself.
Junkies: In any other bands? Any past bands worth mentioning?
I was in Pretty Boy Floyd, Queeny Blast Pop, Talks Cheap, City Girls' Boys, Distractions, as well as playing bass for Marky Ramone on tour, Phil Lewis, and the Zeros.
Junkies: Who and or what inspires you?
Not really sure anymore at this point. I just do what I do, you know be myself and keep it real.
Junkies: What bands do you listen to?
I don't really. Too busy doing my own thing, but there are many that I love.
Junkies: Any notable accomplishments?
Voted number one glam person by a readers poll in an Australian magazine back in the days over Michael Monroe and Johnny Thunders.
Junkies: Guilty pleasure?
Eating and I am getting too old for that! For the first time in my life I have to watch how many snacks I eat. My belly is the biggest it has ever been!
Junkies: Any schooling beyond high school?
I recently graduated from a 4 year university with honors.
Junkies: Anything that you'd like to share with your fans?
Just get and and support music! It's all I have in my life and I hate to see it diminishing the way it has.
