I started with Piano lessons pretty young, played trombone and upright bass in jazz band, then I got my first electric bass when was 15 and have been playing in rock n roll bands ever since.

Guitars I stick to are Gibsons; flying V being my go to. I also use Hohner Harmonicas, which I have an artist deal with.

Junkies:  Do you play any other instruments?
Piano, Bass, Jaw Harp, Didgeridoo

Junkies:  How long have you been in the band?
Since the day Me and Dixie started it.....

Junkies:  In any other bands? Any past bands worth mentioning?
I played in a band in Minneapolis that had some success called Cocaine, and also was a part of The Poor Boys in Nashville before starting The Tip.

Junkies:  Who and or what inspires you?
Have a good time, ALL THE TIME!

Junkies:  What bands do you listen to?  (old and new)
ACDC and Howlin' Wolf

Not having a "real" job...

You shouldn't be guilty for your pleasures!

Junkies:  Hobbies? Work? School? Interests?

Check out what Ricky Dover Jr shared with us!
Junkies:  How long have you been playing? How did you start?
Started playing piano at an early age, maybe 7 or 8, learning on the piano previously owned by my great grandmother.  After a couple of years, the girl thing started to happen for me, and I wanted a guitar.  At 14 I finally got a guitar and started taking lessons from Pick N Grin in Knoxville TN.  Took lessons off and on for several years, even a brief stint in jazz band in college.

Junkies:  What brand do you play? Model? Any endorsements?
Mainly Gibsons.  I have '97 '58 Reissue Les Paul, a '71 SG, and Firebird V.  I'm lucky enough to be endorsed by HiTone Amplification, based out of Columbus IN. I have their JP50 guitar head, and they made me a signature guitar cab HT 412 RDJR :)  I also play Daredevil Pedals (Chicago), Xotic Effects (CA) and Jaykco Guitar straps (KC)

Junkies:  Do you play any other instruments?
Yep! I slap a little bass, and have a go at mandolin, pedal steel and keys.

Junkies:  How long have you been in the band?
Since the beginning! Met Benny and Dixie and hit the ground running.

Junkies:  In any other bands? Any past bands worth mentioning?
I used play in the Atlanta based band The Booze (Underrated Records).  I joined late the game for that band, I had a good run with them and we released one album together, At Maximum Volume.

Junkies:  Who and or what inspires you?
Classic albums, classic bands, classic styles, etc.  Those motifs stand the test of time.  Trends come and go, style comes from within.

Junkies:  What bands do you listen to?  (old and new)
Lately I've been really into Deep Purple, Nazareth and The Remains.  More modern bands I dig include The Black Angels, Tame Impala, and Heaters. My favorite bands include Beatles, Stones, Faces, Humble Pie, Beach Boys.

Junkies:  Notable accomplishments?
I used to have a junior world record for catching a 33lb King Salmon! I was 14 at the time. Only had it for about 6 months. But it counts!

Junkies:  Hobbies? Work? School? Interests?
Although I play music full time, I wish I had even more time to write and record more music. I'm obsessed. Without it I'd be nothing.

This week we are excited to bring you The Tip out of Nashville, TN.

A need to play, live and love Rock and Roll to its fullest potential brought The Tip together in the spring of 2014. Formed as a supergroup from Nashville's finest rock and roll bands rolled into one, The Tip plays faster, harder, louder and tighter than anyone that has crossed their path. The band doesn't even need to play a note before people start turning heads to see what these four cast of characters have to offer. Late nights, hot licks and boundless energy are exactly The Tip are made of. Rock and Roll dreams never get this good.

Check out what they had to tell us about the band below, and stay tuned all week for more on this sleazy, greasy, bluesy Rock N Roll Band!
